Collide with the sky.
Challenging fate is not an easy feat. But I decided to take on this sly entity anyway. I got up from my seat, shook the nerves from my ankles and started pounding on the pavement to the library. There was only a thread of hope that had me clinging to the thought of possibly seeing you.
I started to walk up the stairs to the door. I bowed my head in hopelessness as I took one heavyhearted step at a time. With every step I took, the fragility of the thread of hope just keeps on getting thinner.
I looked up to see how sad things are but instead my heart leaped at the sight of you walking alone towards me. I was in complete disbelief. All these eleven days of pure torture and agony-- gone, like it never even existed from the start. I looked at you hoping you might notice me. And you did notice me. My heart fluttered at the sight of your face lighting up when our eyes met. You flashed me this overenthusiastic smile. Every part of me melted. But I managed to keep myself together and was able to keep a decent face while smiling back and waving hello.
