After a century (!!!), I finally got to watch American Beauty. My friend Mariel gave me a copy. I was bouncing in my seat while the opening credits were rolling. I didn't know what to expect. I watched the movie with a very open mind and heart (lol).
I have to say, the cinematography was fabulous! I love it so much. It makes me want to be in the film industry so bad. Angela Hayes (Mena Suvari) was lovely. I love her. Anyway, the story was so beautiful. The actors played their characters really well! I even felt like strangling Carolyn Burnham (Annette Benning). Ugghhh I'm so affected with her nagging. It annoyed the hell out of me. Kevin Spacey, who played Lester Burnham, did the character so much justice. He definitely was perfect for the role. Ricky Fitts (Wes Bentley) has such a gorgeous face and such a great actor!! Trivia: Bentley played Seneca Crane in The Hunger Games (2013). Sam Mendes and Alan Ball, you are genuises!!!

I was trying to blink back the tears 3/4 through the movie. I just felt really sad and moved. I had to pause the movie a few times because I couldn't handle my emotions. I rarely do reviews because I freaking suck at it!!! Anyway, all I can say is that y'all should go watch this movie. It makes you think about life.. so.. much.
