50 Books for 2013: Part Un

My mission for 2013 is to read 50 books since I only read 20 books last year. I was able to hit the halfway mark a couple of days ago.

1. An Abundance of Katherines by John Green - 3/5
I found this a bit confusing. This just proves how horrible I am at Math.

2. Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan - 5/5
It's such a fun and heartwarming story.

3. Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami -5/5
I was so depressed that I couldn't cry.

4. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green - 5/5
It made me feel hopeful. I can't wait how the movie will turn out! I hope that the book will translate well into film.

5. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher - 3/5
The suspense had me holding my breath all the way through. It lets one see just what impact our existence and actions have on other people.

6. Paper Towns by John Green - 5/5
Cute story but at one point I wanted to strangle Margo.

7. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson - 5/5
I didn't expect I'd fall in love with this book. The thickness was intimidating but the story made up for it. Amazing and addicting.

8. The Girl Who Played With Fire by Stief Larsson - 5/5
Second installment to the Millennium Trilogy and my favorite book! I was absolutely blown away.

9. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho - 5/5
Very insightful. I felt a deep sense of tranquility after reading this.

10. Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella - 5/5
Freaking hilarious. Nothing like a light chick lit to perk up my day.

11. Girl, Interrupted by Susanna Kaysen - 4/5
A different view of what actually goes on inside an "insane" person's mind.

12. The Diamond Girls by Jacqueline Wilson - 5/5
Your family will always love you for you. Warts and all.

13. Every Piece of Me by Louisa Jepson - 5/5
I think I fell more in love with Harry Styles.

14. The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson - 5/5
The Millennium Trilogy ended with a bang. Beautiful.

15. Boyfriend In A Dress by Louisse Keane - 5/5
Chick lit with some dark undertones to it.

16. Princess Of Park Avenue by Daniella Brodsky -5/5
A lot of quote worthy lines. Well written and a fun read.

17. Then He Ate My Boy Entrancers by Louise Rennison - 5/5
Should have taken the advice "Do not read in public when you're alone." seriously.

18. Veronika Decides To Die by Paulo Coehlo - 5/5
It makes you think about life. It makes you love your life.

19. It's Ok, I'm Wearing Really Big Knickers by Louise Rennison - 5/5
Georgia Nicolson is my kind of heroine. I love you, girl. Tres funny.

20. A Game Of Thrones by George R.R. Martin -5/5
It took me ages to finish this book. But once I did, I felt both triumphant and depressed. My heart is weeping.

21. B As In Beauty by Alberto Ferreras - 5/5
Not your average chick lit!!!

22. My Big Nose And Other Natural Disasters by Sydney Salter - 5/5
A very charming read.

23. Knocked Out By My Nunga-nungas by Louise Rennison - 4/5
Georgia Nicolson is bonkers and adorable.

24. Beastly by Alex Flinn - 5/5
Sappier and cheesier than the film version but still a lovely read. Great modern twist on a classic.

25. Life Swap by Jane Green - 4/5
It makes you appreciate what you have in your life.
